How We Met
As
we begin to start out on our journey we would
like you to get to know us a little bit better.
We want you to become acquainted with us, our
family, and our teammates as well. We
begin with a little bit of history about how the
Shaver family and Waldren family met. It
was in college that Jason and Andy met. We went to Greek and Hebrew
class together, ironic that we are going to go and learn another
language as well. Jason and Andy met together periodically and
talked some. We both learned of each other's love for the Lord,
Russia, and mission work. As Jason finished up at Ozark, we didn't
see each other as much. For awhile Andy went to Blendville
Christian Church, where Jason taught the college age class. It
wasn't until after Jason and Andy had married and Jason had one kid that
they finally met back up together again at a coffee shop for a "going
away" party for a mutual friend. It was there that Jason, Joanna,
Justus, Andy, and Jennifer began to build a relationship. After
that meeting in the coffee shop we got together and went to Joanna's
parent's old cabin by Roaring River. We spent the weekend together
enjoying the
fellowship and getting to know one another. Soon after that we
continued to meet together and build a relationship that grows all the
time. We have through God's intervention combined our hearts and
efforts to spread the love of Jesus to the people in Russia, more
specifically in Krasnodar. So the story of how our families met is
here, but the future remains wide open to God's leading. |
