Personal Ministry Plan

Main Plan

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age

-Matthew 28:19-20

Goals:

1.  Draw closer to Jesus myself and with my family as well as draw closer to my family.

2.  Begin to learn the language and culture of the Russian people and surrounding Muslim people groups of Krasnodar.

3.  Make contacts with the people of the area.

4.  Develop relationships with contacts.

5.  Determine where we could best be used by God in the Krasnodar area.

6.  Continue to raise support.

7.  Deepen the team bond of the team.

8.  Begin to develop friendships with the Muslim people of the area (some being Meskhentian Turks) evangelizing if possible.

9.  Recruit more team members.

10.  Get established.

Objectives:

1.  Draw closer to Jesus myself and with my family as well as draw closer to my family.

a.  Personally

(These things I know are not ways to appease God, but are ways I have found work well in our relationship in speaking to Him and Him speaking with me.)

1.  Spend personal time everyday with Jesus.

i.  Prayer, Bible reading, and listening

ii.  Study the Word in depth on subjects that pertain to ministry and/or personal life at that time.

2.  Once a week spend time seeking God's will and plan the week out with Him.

3.  Twice a year spend a day getting away from the usual of life and spend time with God and plan with Him.

4.  Fast 4 times a year.

b.  With Jennifer I plan to pray, go through devotional books, read other helpful books together, and date on a regular basis.

c.  With my family as a whole I plan to pray, read the Bible, learn and apply Biblical principles.

2.  Begin to learn the language and culture of the Russian people and surrounding Muslim people groups of Krasnodar.

a. Devote time to learning language in class, with my tutor, and on class outings.

b.  Diligently apply myself to my homework.

c.  Spend time in the culture observing and learning.

d.  Have friends that can be cultural resource to me.

e.  Spend time releasing with fellow ex-patriots.

3.  Make contacts with the people of the area.

a.  Leaders in the community

e.  Meskhentian Turks

4.  Develop relationships with contacts.

a.  Spend time with those whom we meet.

b.  Get to know Yuri and Lena and their family

c.  Get to know Nikolai, his wife, and family

5.  Determine where we could best be used by God in the Krasnodar area.

a.  Talk with leaders and people where they best think we could be used.

b.  Look and determine for ourselves where we could be used.

c.  Talk with Meskhentian Turks to find out where their biggest needs lie.

d.  Pray about it.

e.  Seek advice from our Advisors.

6.  Continue to raise support.

a.  Continue to send out e-mail updates and newsletters.

b.  Work on trying to contact new people that would be interested in partnering with us.

c.  Plan the summer to meet with churches and individuals.

d.  Reevaluate the ways in which we partner with others.

e.  Give our partners a choice and challenge to continue to support us.

7.  Deepen the team bond of the team.

a.  Interact in regular meetings.

b.  Plan fun get togethers and outings.

c.  Pray together.

d.  Get to know one another better.

e.  Help out with the arrival of the new children.

8.  Begin to develop friendships with the Muslim people of the area (some being Meskhentian Turks) evangelizing if possible.

a.  Spend time visiting different villages and people.

b.  Just spend time getting to know the people.

c.  Find ways to help them and be helped by them.

d.  Study up on Muslim faith, religion, practices, and anything that would help better understand the people and how we can relate to them.

e.  Look into moving into the village or central location where we can best spend time with the people.

9.  Recruit more team members.

a.  Contact people.

b.  Pray about it.

c.  Look for those already in Russia looking for a place to serve.

d.  Make an arrangement with the team for taking on new members.

10.  Get established.

a.  Look into visa options for after language school.

b.  Pray.

c.  Look for people wanting us to come back as a possible sign of returning on good terms.

d.  Begin to think and make Russia a home.

e.  Become comfortable with family life in Russia.

f.  Develop friendships that will last.
