The park
we went to is a block big. It has a
fountain in the middle, a monument on one
side, and an Orthodox Church on the other.
We found a bench and sat down. Michael John
got his cars out and played with them for
awhile. Meanwhile other people were
smoking, taking pictures with the tulips,
resting from their 5 inch heels, playing
with their kids, and talking on cell
phones. If there would have been more kids,
I am sure that Michael John would have
enjoyed playing with them. He would be
“encouraged” to share his toys while the
other kids share their toys with him. It is
kind of like a communal pot. Everybody
dumps their toys in and every kid has a toy
to play with.

Have you ever
noticed the way that some people can just quote Scripture? In fact
there are some people that seem not able even to speak a paragraph or
sentence without having some form of Scripture in it. These people
have always been an encouragement to me.
I see a world around me
so different from what I have always known.
Surprisingly it is not that much different
when God sees it. There are people all
around begging for attention. They
need not my attention but the attention of
their loving Father. However, they
don't realize that He is already giving it
to them. They just fail to accept the
attention. They for some reason do not
want the attention that He so willingly
provides. I see a world around me much
the same as I have always known--a world
that needs Jesus.
